Our client, Lockhart Catering Equipment asked us to create a video case study for the brand new, very exciting launch of the latest restaurant in the WSH restaurant group, 74 Charlotte Street by Ben Murphy. With 3 AA Rosettes already awarded to the restaurant, for Head Chef Ben Murphy, the opening is the culmination of 15 years in the industry which has seen him work at The Berkeley and more recently at Launceston Place, then winning the prestigious Craft Guild of Chefs, National Chef of the Year in 2022. Taking the reigns at 74 Charlotte Street, the chef has created an integrated dining experience where the tableware, cutlery, glassware and serving crockery is matched to the menu.

"Matching the menu to the plates, to the crockery, it’s all done for a reason, it’s all about the aesthetics. For me, the details are critical – I’m in here at 6am every morning making the milk bread for the day’s service, and we serve it on this stunning level head, we also use a pink version of this to display our handmade petits fours. Every tableware and barware item at 74 Charlotte Street by Ben Murphy is sourced from Lockhart Catering Equipment. During the building refit and renovations, several visits to the Lockhart Innovation Centre, with menu in hand, ensured that the restaurant would deliver the dining ‘mood’ the head chef was looking to create for his restaurant.
Our brief when creating the video case study was to capture the essence of the style of both the restaurant and the menu that Chef Ben Murphy has created; and the feedback from our client, Simon Britten, Head Of Marketing was that we did just that!
